products I regret buying...

Sunday, January 17, 2016

Hello my darlings!!

How is everyone?!

So this post is all about the products that sadly I regret buying.
There are quite a few of those too! I'm super disappointed with them to be honest. Some of them cost quite a bit of money, and some didn't, so I guess I shouldn't have expected lots from those but hey, I loved them brands, I was always happy with their products, just not these ones.

So let's have a look at them.

Name and shame much?

The W7 Naked Nudes Palette.

As you probably know, if you follow my blog, I'm a big fan of W7 and like 99.5% of their stuff. I always give them a lot of hype, cause they really are worth it! Just not this thing right here.
The shadows are crazy sheer. Only one of them actually appears on your eyelids, still not super pigmented though. Well yeah, it was only like 3 euro, I didn't expect MAC or Inglot quality from them but still expected SOME kind of pigmentation. The shadows are super chalky also. I just really don't like them, so I could go on and on about them! I guess it's one of those palettes you buy your little daughter or sister for them to play with?

Essence 'Disney Cinderella' collection highlighter.

Oh boy was I disappointed!
Or maybe I'm doing something wrong? I'm okay with other highlighters, just not this one? Help! I really want to make it work! It's so pretty?
I mean look at the tiny cute roses on it?!
So what's wrong with it..
It's not showing up! Well I know highlighter isn't supposed to be a huge white strip of sparkle on your cheekbones but come on, this doesn't even have a tiny bit of shine to it.
Sorry, I can't even concentrate, I'm so disappointed haha.

W7 Prime Magic, Anti-Redness Primer.

Anti-Redness you say? NO GIRL, NO!

That thing does not eliminate any redness from your face, not one bit. I usually have redness around my eyes and nose area, and I've been trying to find something for that. And while I was casually strolling around the W7 stands, I noticed this baby right here. And I thought to myself 'OH I NEED IT'
So I got it. Tried it out. Got disappointed. Like girls do with guys these days..

Well it has a nice texture to it, it's the primer that's in a kind of a 'liquid' form, and it turns into powder when it touches your face. So it's nice in that way. But the anti-redness thing? Nah, definitely not a thing. And the smell is super plastic.

L'Oreal Paris, Eau de Teint foundation.

Aw hell no!
I hated it! No offence L'Oreal, I love your stuff but giiirl..
Your skin has to be FLAWLESS if you want to wear this foundation. It has no coverage whatsoever. The consistency is literally water. As it says in the name.
I paid I think it was 8 euro for this, it was like a deal in my local pharmacy. And to be honest, I regret every cent that I've paid towards it.

Some random Avon palette I've had for ages...

Aw hell to the no girl...
1. No pigmentation at all.

2. Just no..

I was so disappointed with this one!
Doesn't it look so fancy? Almost Chanel like but Chanel at least has some pigment to it!
I'm happy with different shades of this palette, for example, I've another one called 'Mocha Brown' and I love it! I use it for my eyebrows and it's doing a great job.

Perhaps it's maybe this that isn't working for me.
PS. I've had this for ages, and it didn't work for me back when I first got it either. So it's definitely not due to the old age.

And the last disappointment of the day is this GOSH waterproof mascara.

The brush is quite tragic, it clumps the lashes like mad! The formula is alright I suppose. But I don't think I will be coming back to this mascara ever again.
Plus, the smell isn't the nicest.

That's it for today my huns!
Do you  have any of these yourself? Do they work for you?
Tell me all about it!

Much love,

Essence Lip Liner - Wish me a Rose Review..

Friday, January 15, 2016

Hello huns!

I'm back with another lippie review. Today it's another Essence lip liner, this time, in the shade Wish me a Rose.

Do I like it?

Of course I do, the shade is a lovely shade of pink, it applies really well and it stays on for 2 hours and still looks untouched! Well, unless you drink and eat a lot then obviously it'll rub off quicker.

The only thing that I don't like about it is that you have to sharpen it a lot and it breaks quite easily.
But I guess that's what you get for a creamy lip liner!

The price is another great thing about this liner. It cost me only 1.75 euro! Just because they're so cheap, I will buy every liner from essence and I will test it out here for you guys!

Anyway, here are a few photos of me wearing it, so you can have a look and see it for yourself!

So yeah, that's pretty much it.
I know it looks kinda 'crusty' on the photos (crusty is such a gross word, but I couldn't think of any other) but if you looked at it in real life then it looks very smooth.

I definitely would recommend it to you guys, if you have a chance you should definitely grab it!

Next time I will test out a Bourjois matte liquid lipstick so keep your eyes open for that! ;)

Much love,

Alexander McQueen Autumn/Winter 2016/17 Collection

Thursday, January 14, 2016
If you follow my blog for a while now, then you know that Alexander McQueen was my favorite designer of all time.
During my own phase in which I started my own designs, his were a major inspiration for me.

It is terrible that he's gone so soon, he was a genius, and he could have designed many more amazing things that would definitely cause some chaos in the fashion world, for example the Armadillo boots that he designed years and years back.

But now, the new creative director Sarah Burton is doing a pretty good job, I definitely think Alexander would be so proud.
Especially when looking at this new collection.

When I seen it.. Oh my!

So the collection is designed in a Heroin Chic style. The models look tired, worn out, and I'd hate to say it but they look like the stereotypical drug addicts.

The collection is beautiful yet dark. The clothes are kept in the darker tones, mainly black, white and grey. The models look almost vampirelike, wearing the XIX century literature inspired pieces.

The suits feature butterfly and moth prints which apparently were inspired by the ones in the notes of Charles Darwin, when he was writing of his theories. Other than the butterflies and moths, we see snake patterns as well as skulls.
Flowers also make an appearance in the collection. Those are dead looking, which I suppose go well with the whole 'dark' theme. It is quite unusual to see flower patters in menswear, but these are not feminine.

I personally would love to see men wearing pieces from this collection, it's probably one of my favourites now. And I definitely would love to see Harry Styles wearing a suit or two from here ;) !

I also sense a hint of Michael Jackson in the cut of the jackets. Back in his 'Thriller' days, he wore the broad shouldered, padded leather jackets. And we can see a few similar ones in here.

So, less talking, more looking.

So what do you guys think of the collection??

Thank you for reading, dont forget to follow me for more blog posts!

Much love,

Well well well...

Hello my darlings!!

I promised I'll be back. So here I am.

I am never leaving my blog for such a long time ever again. It's like torturous or something.
I felt horrible for not posting and I'm super excited to start taking photos again, and writing, and getting your feedback.
And as you probably can tell I changed the look of my blog too! I was working on it for two days, and it might not be like the most pro piece of work you've ever seen, but I'm quite proud of it cause I'm like the worst person when it comes to technology and stuff like that..

Where was I over the past few months and what was I doing?
I shall show you through photographs..

Still studying. Making friends. Everything was pretty normal really. There were ups and downs.

Highlight of the month was definitely the Halloween party my friend and I organised. And although I don't remember much from it (oops), I know it was one of the best nights of my life! The decorations, and people, atmosphere were AMAZING and honestly I can't wait til we organize another party like that!

I was dressed as French Maid and I loved my costume oh my! And although I was absolutely freezing, I loved the tutu, hold ups and super high heels.
Sadly, I didn't have enough time to take photographs, I will post the only photos that I have from that night here ;

As you can see, the costume was quite revealing. But I didn't seem to care at the time. I totally regret it when I was going back home the next day! I was looking for it like crazy. I remember I got the costume two days before Halloween. It was crazy!

The next photo, I had to save for the end. I believe that I made the perfect pancake. Doesn't it just look hella majestic? Like a planet or something!!
Yes. I am getting excited because of a pancake. Don't tell me you never seen a beautiful pancake and was completely in love with it, cause we all know that's a lie..

I attended my sisters Graduation.
And Patsy, I am sorry for this horrible photo but it's the only one that I have!! And it kinda describes our relationship so well haha.
Graduations are a boring, boring thing. And I hope that other than mine I wont have to attend any other ceremony. I mean it's cool seeing people ending a chapter of their life and starting another, but come on.. It doesn't have to take three hours right?
Nothing else happened in November to be honest. It was not a great month for me. But that's done and gone and I'm not going back, nor will I even think about it. December though.. Oh my.. That was one amazing month.

I managed to get a guy to like me, which was nice. He's the greatest guy ever and I hope he wont get bored of me any time soon lol. Then, my friends and I decided to go to Galway for the Christmas markets and a good night out. We stayed at the Menlo Park Hotel, which was an amazing place, and again, one of the best nights of my life. I do feel sorry though for whoever had to clean my friends room as we brought the party back to her and her boyfriends room. I wish I took more photos, but I forgot my camera! It was really beautiful. The Christmas Market was adorable and I really enjoyed myself, but then everyone was like LET'S GO ICE SKATING. Two words..

Never. Again.

I'd say that by the murderous look on my face it was easy to tell that I was not having fun. I can honestly say that falling over was more fun than actually attempting to skate. I left after a while, I was really not feeling it. So I was watching my friends fall and took some photos. Then we went back to the hotel and got ready for the night out in town. I really loved it and hopefully we can do something like this again before we all go our separate ways later this year.

One of the coolest people I've met! Henning came over to Ireland for a few months to work, and he lived in the same student accommodation as my best friend! He was really amazing, but sadly he had to go back to Germany! Going Galway was his last trip with us and saying goodbye was definitely hard! I hope to see him soon! We used to have extremely mature conversations even if we were under the influence of German beer which was never running low in his apartment!

I know, I know.. My dress is like halfway down my boobs.. But hey, at least everything else is on point??

New Years Eve!

It was definitely something! My best friend and I decided to go to this fancy fancy NYE Ball in this fancy fancy hotel. I had a good time. There was loads of food, drink and funny elderly people.
Music was okay I guess, but after 12 my boyfriend and I decided to go to the local nightclub, sadly it was full so we ended up in some pub I've never been in.
Felt super out of place haha, me in my long dress.
I got to meet my boyfriends friends, and they turned out to be really cool.

I cant wait to be posting again! I'll try to go back to posting every day.

Thank you for the patience, really. I really did not expect anyone to visit my blog when I was gone, but it was so nice to see that my blog still had many views.

But yeah, thanks for reading and I'll see you in my next post!!

Much much love,
